Ariana Resources mobilises drilling rig for a new exploration programme at Dokwe project

By: African mining market

Ariana Resources has mobilised a drilling rig for a new exploration programme at its 100% owned Dokwe Gold Project in Zimbabwe.

The company said the first phase of a c.11,000-metre Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling campaign will test four targets across Dokwe North, Central and their extensions.

Torque Africa has been appointed to carry out the initial drilling using its Thor 5000 rig, capable of reaching over 300 metres.

“We are pleased to have appointed Torque Africa as drilling contractors for the initiation of our exploration programme at Dokwe,” said managing director Dr Kerim Sener.

The company has prioritised extensions of the Dokwe North and Central deposits, which together host a total JORC Resource of 1.12 million ounces at 1.52 grams per tonne of gold.

A 26-hole, 4,000-metre programme will kick off the broader campaign, with a gold-in-soil anomaly northeast of Dokwe North being a focus area.
Initial assay results are expected before the end of 2025.
