Allied expects strong fourth-quarter operational performance
The company notes that its gold production for the third quarter, ended September 30, was 87 020 oz – in line with expectations and operating plans. Production for the quarter was lower than the 91 017 oz produced in the second quarter of the year, but higher than the 84 040 oz produced in the first quarter of this year.
The Sadiola mine, in Mali, produced 42 174 oz of gold in the third quarter, while the Bonikro and Agbaou mines, in Côte d'Ivoire, delivered 21 953 oz and 22 893 oz of gold, respectively.
Fourth-quarter production at Bonikro and Agbaou will be driven mainly by the stripping completed earlier this year, which has allowed access to higher-grade areas. Production at Bonikro for the quarter is expected to increase by up to 40% compared with the average of the preceding quarters.
Allied Gold points out that operations at Sadiola are progressing normally and as planned.
Operating, logistical and project development activities are progressing as usual, with inventories of consumables at normal levels. With fourth-quarter production expected to be up to 40% higher than the average of previous quarters, Sadiola is positioned to meet full-year guidance and is setting the foundation for stronger production in 2026, it adds.
Allied Gold expects its full-year production for this year to exceed 375 000 oz – in line with guidance and consistent with the miner's broader production outlook from its producing mines of 375 000 oz/y to 400 000 oz/y.
While formal guidance for 2026 is expected to be provided early next year, the company is targeting yearly production from its existing operations at the high end of the outlook range with more consistent quarter-on-quarter performances.
Meanwhile, Allied Gold reports the sale of 92 099 oz of gold in the third quarter, which was higher than production and higher than previously guided, owing to the sale early in the third quarter of inventory built up in the second quarter.
The company recorded a net loss of $17.9-million for the third quarter.
