By: Oil & gas middle east

ADNOC Gas plc, a leading gas processing and sales company, has announced a significant Heads of Agreement with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to supply 0.5 million metric tonnes per annum (mmtpa) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) over a decade.

This agreement highlights ADNOC Gas‘ expanding presence in the high-demand Asian LNG market and strengthens its role as a reliable global LNG supplier.

This long-term contract further solidifies ADNOC Gas’ partnership with Indian energy firms and supports India’s energy security goals. The agreement follows recent collaborations with Indian Oil Corporation and GAIL India Limited. Fatema Al Nuaimi, CEO of ADNOC Gas, emphasised the robust UAE-India energy partnership and the company’s capability to meet rising global LNG demands.

The LNG will be sourced from ADNOC Gas’ Das Island facility, known for its 6 mmtpa production capacity and history of over 3,500 LNG shipments. As part of ADNOC’s strategy, ADNOC Gas is pivotal in enhancing natural gas production and expanding global LNG exports, reinforcing natural gas as a cleaner transitional fuel option.
