In 2024, NMDC Energy showcased its financial and operational strength, achieving an 80% year-on-year surge in net profit to AED 1.406 billion and an 82% increase in revenues to AED 14.44 billion. The company’s initial public offering (IPO), oversubscribed 31.3 times with gross demand of AED 88 billion, underscored strong investor confidence in its market leadership and strategic direction.

Major Projects and Regional Dominance

Over the past 12 months, NMDC Energy has secured a robust portfolio of projects across the Middle East, reinforcing its dominance in the MENA region, which accounts for over 70% of its business. Key projects include the Belbazam Block Development, the Dalma Gas Development Project, and significant packages for Lower Zakum LTDP-1, as well as Saudi Aramco’s Zuluf oil facilities upgrades and the Jafurah Development Programme. Saudi Arabia remains a cornerstone of NMDC’s strategy, contributing approximately 40% of revenues. The launch of its advanced fabrication yard in Ras Al Khair, with a 40,000-tonne annual production capacity, further demonstrates its commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s energy expansion.

Global Expansion and Strategic Partnerships

NMDC Energy is extending its global footprint with a USD 1.14 billion EPC contract with Taiwan Power Company for subsea pipelines, showcasing its capability to deliver technically complex offshore projects in diverse geographies. The company is also preparing for further expansion into North Africa and Southeast Asia, supported by a new procurement office in China. At the Make it in the Emirates (MIITE) forum, held from 19 to 22 May 2025 in Abu Dhabi, NMDC Group and NMDC Energy announced several strategic partnerships and provided updates on their active project pipeline in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Taiwan, and Vietnam, alongside their extensive operations in the UAE.

This prestigious award recognises manufacturers that have achieved In-Country Value (ICV) certification, celebrating their efforts to drive the growth of local industries, businesses, communities, and talent in the UAE. To qualify, companies must demonstrate a strong commitment to the ICV programme by fostering job creation, developing the local workforce, and contributing to economic growth. NMDC Energy’s efforts include reinjecting approximately AED 17 billion into the UAE economy by enhancing opportunities for local small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
