30 Diesel Wagons Delivered for Simandou Project
The first 30 diesel tank wagons for the Simandou iron ore project in Guinea-Conakry have been delivered to Morébaya Port by mining company Winning International Group’s transport fleet.
Developed by service provider CRRC Xi’an, the tank wagons will support the transportation of fuel critical to construction and operations along the Simandou railway corridor, which links the iron ore mine to the new deepwater port at Morébaya.
The wagons include K5 bogies compatible with existing railway infrastructure, a thermal oil heating system for improved efficiency and an optimized tank volume for increased transport capacity. The 30 diesel wagons passed the initial inspection with a 100% compliance rate.
An additional 10 heavy fuel wagons are currently in transit, with delivery scheduled for late August 2025.
