Newmont has commenced its first gold pour at the Ahafo North project in Ghana, which has an investment of $950 million. The deposit contains 4.6 million ounces of gold and is projected to add 275,000 ounces of output annually. Ghana holds a 10% stake in the venture, which is anticipated to generate 560 permanent jobs and 1,000 contract jobs....
