Madagascar receives three aircraft for mineral exploration

By: Capmad

The official ceremony took place on April 21, 2026, at Toliara Airport, in the presence of the President of the Refoundation Party and his wife, at the end of their visit to the Atsimo Andrefana region.

Before departing Toliara for Antananarivo, the officials inspected the three aircraft delivered by BRAVURA. Two of these planes will be used for reconnaissance flights, while the third will support technical operations.

BRAVURA is a major African company specializing in the exploitation and processing of mineral resources. Through this partnership, it is supporting Madagascar in better understanding its subsoil potential.

The planned missions will identify areas rich in mineral resources within Madagascar. These operations will also serve to determine the nature and quantity of available resources, as well as the means necessary for their exploitation. These reconnaissance flights are scheduled to last approximately six months and will be based in Toliara.

Once the work is completed, the results will be provided free of charge to the Malagasy government. This data will allow for a better understanding of the country’s mineral wealth and will guide future decisions in the sector.

For the authorities, this initiative is important because it provides a clearer picture of Madagascar’s natural resources. This operation could also facilitate the search for partners for more efficient and better-organized exploitation.
