Dr. Mteto Nyati, Eskom chairperson, emphasized the need for South Africa's transition to renewable energy while maintaining affordable, competitive tariffs to attract investment. He highlighted the importance of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors for the mining industry. Nyati also stressed the necessity of incorporating clean energy to remain competitive and called for a shift to unbundled tariffs.
