Uganda has terminated its contract with Tibet-Hima, the concessionaire for Kilembe Mines, following unreasonable demands to export 30,000 metric tons of copper, gold, and cobalt for testing. Minister Evelyn Anite cited the investor's incompetence and excessive requests as reasons for the cancellation. A Parliamentary inquiry was initiated to investigate the contract's award process and address claims of losses by Tibet-Hima.
