The Ethiopian Airlines has collected one more Award this year. On Wednesday, the Airlines announced that it has received recognition as ‘‘ ‘Best Overall in Africa’ at the prestigious 2025 APEX Passenger Choice Awards.” The award is for a range of best cabin services including food and beverage.

“Ethiopian Airlines is pleased to announce its recognition as the winner of the ‘Best Overall in Africa’ at the prestigious 2025 APEX Passenger Choice Awards,” said the airline in an update it shared on social media.

The recognition event was organized in Long Beach, California, on 28 October 2024.

Samson Arega Bekele, Group Vice President Customer Experience at Ethiopian Airlines,  received the award representing the Airline.

The Airline stated that “This accolade underscores Ethiopian Airlines’ outstanding performance across multiple categories; for ‘Best Cabin Service’, ‘Best Entertainment’, ‘Best Food and Beverage’, ‘Best Seat Comfort’ and ‘Best Wi-Fi’ in Africa. ”

Ethiopian Airlines has been regularly expanding destinations across the world and its fleets and managed to remain one of the top leaders in the industry in Africa and an emerging one in the world. In recent months, the airline has been targeted with  what appears to be an orchestrated smear campaign.

Next month, the airline is expected to receive  its first Airbus A350-1000 – which is said to be the first in Africa. It will also resume service to Monrovia, the capital of Liberia.
