DSV and DB Schenker: Can they overcome integration hurdles?
Danish logistics giant DSV recently announced its acquisition of DB Schenker, positioning the combined entity as a formidable global logistics leader. While the deal is expected to bolster DSV’s capabilities across European land transport, air, and sea freight, the path to achieving these synergies is far from straightforward.
In a recent poll, 56% of respondents believe that integration challenges will be the most significant impact of the acquisition. This aligns with industry experts’ observations that successfully merging two large-scale logistics operations demands more than strategic alignment—it requires seamless synchronization of technology, processes, and corporate culture.
