World’s largest silver bar unveiled in Dubai
The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has unveiled the world's largest silver bar, a 1,971-kilogram bullion measuring 1.3 meters long, to commemorate the founding of the United Arab Emirates. This bar has set a Guinness World Record and symbolizes UAE national ambition and innovation.
In a landmark initiative, this record-setting bar will now be the first of its kind to undergo tokenization under a regulated framework. This project is a collaboration between DMCC and key industry partners: Sam Precious Metals, which produced the bar; Tokinvest, a platform handling the digital tokenization; and Brink's, which is responsible for secure storage. The effort is part of DMCC's strategic partnership with the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), aimed at developing secure and transparent frameworks for tokenized commodities.
