UAE supplies 40.8pc of Japan’s oil imports in May

UAE was Japan’s top crude oil supplier in May 2025, providing Tokyo with 30.42 million barrels of crude oil, according to official Japanese data, reported WAM.
This volume accounted for 40.8% of Japan’s total crude oil imports for the month, based on figures released by the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy of Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
