South Africa has concluded a strategically significant participation at the Resourcing Tomorrow 2025 conference in London. Led by the Deputy Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources and supported by Brand South Africa, the delegation used the global platform to advance the country’s Critical Minerals and Metals Strategy and reinforce its image as a reform-driven mining jurisdiction ready for investment.

Throughout the three-day event, the delegation engaged with international investors, analysts, and media to communicate key policy priorities. These included the implementation of the Critical Minerals Strategy, progress on the Junior Mining Exploration Fund to support early-stage exploration, and alignment with the G20's sustainable minerals governance framework. A central point of interest was South Africa’s ongoing regulatory reform, particularly efforts to streamline and integrate the permitting system by aligning mining, environmental, and water-use licenses to reduce duplication and shorten approval times.

Stakeholder meetings and media interactions generated positive momentum, with follow-up engagements planned to explore specific investment proposals. The delegation’s core message positioned South Africa as a committed partner in global decarbonisation, focused on building responsible mineral supply chains and promoting local beneficiation.
