Makor Resources positions the Muli Copper Project as a district-scale strategic opportunity in Zambia

By: African mining market

Makor Resources, a Zambia-focused copper exploration company, is advancing its Muli Copper Project in Zambia's Central Province. The project is located in an emerging copper corridor, approximately 30 kilometers from the established Kitumba Copper Project. It comprises a large, contiguous land package in a region considered prospective for large-scale, intrusive-related copper systems, offering what the company describes as a rare, early-stage, district-scale opportunity.

The company is pursuing a phased and disciplined exploration strategy focused on system-scale geological understanding and long-term development optionality, rather than short-cycle outcomes. Makor executives emphasized that assets with genuine scale and jurisdictional security are becoming increasingly scarce, and the Muli project's fundamentals—its location in a proven copper jurisdiction within a fertile structural corridor—provide a credible foundation for long-term value creation.

Zambia is highlighted as a stable and established copper jurisdiction with a national mandate to expand output. Makor's operating model integrates early community engagement and governance discipline as core components of its responsible development approach.
