Linxon lands 380kV substation project contract in Saudi
Linxon, a global engineering, procurement, and construction firm, has secured a series of major turnkey contracts to build high-voltage substations in Saudi Arabia. The projects involve the development of 380/110/13.8kV substations that will play a crucial role in reinforcing the national power grid and facilitating the integration of renewable energy sources, particularly solar power.
A joint venture between AtkinsRéalis, a leading engineering consultancy, and Hitachi Energy, a Swiss technology specialist, Linxon will manage the entire project lifecycle. This includes design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning, ensuring reliability and adherence to quality standards at every stage.
According to Hassan Merhi, Managing Director for Linxon AMEA, the projects reflect the company's commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable energy infrastructure. The initiatives align directly with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, supporting the kingdom's renewable energy ambitions and promoting a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.
