Lime Petroleum Spuds Sèmè Field Offshore Benin
Norwegian holding company Lime Petroleum Holding has announced its wholly owned subsidiary Akrake Petroleum Benin has commenced drilling operations at the Sèmè oil field, offshore Benin.
Drilled using Borr Drilling’s Gerd jack-up rig, the startup of operations marks the first of three development wells spudded on August 4, 2025, in Benin’s offshore Block 1.
The 100-day, three-well work program covers 551Km2 in waters ranging from 20 to 30 meters.
