By: Energy capital and power

This initiative aims to enhance the industry’s global competitiveness, while supporting broader efforts to modernize airports in major cities across Libya.

Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh held a meeting on December 2 to outline the airline’s strategic role in revitalizing the aviation sector. He highlighted the importance of implementing further reforms to improve services, ensure compliance with international regulations and strengthen connectivity.

Libya currently operates two state-owned carriers: Afriqiyah Airways and Libyan Airlines. In 2024, the country witnessed the return of several international airlines, including Turkish Airlines, resuming flights to Libya.
