The Hungarian capital, renowned for its well-integrated transport network, serves as a strategic gateway for multimodal shipments across Europe.

The proposed terminal, with an annual capacity of 230,000 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units), is expected to enhance container train operations along the China-Europe-China corridor, leveraging transit routes through the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).

Officials stated that the project aims to slash delivery times, cut transportation costs, and streamline transshipment processes.

The development aligns with KTZ’s broader strategy to expand its terminal network across key global transport corridors, reinforcing Kazakhstan’s role as a pivotal transit hub in Eurasia.
