Electrochem Ghana to Create 3,000 Jobs in Salt Mining
The workforce will be recruited in Ada as part of efforts to create jobs and stimulate the local economy, according to Razak Adam, CEO of Electrochem.
“By preserving a manual approach for this harvest season, we are not only choosing traditional practices but also ensuring that the economic benefits remain in the community,” he said.
Electrochem targets an annual salt production of one million metric tons from its 41,000-acre mining concession in Ghana. The company seeks to produce salt for both domestic and international markets.
