DRC: KoBold Metals Targets Stake in Manono Lithium Project
Mining startup KoBold Metals has announced that it plans to apply for exploration licenses in the Manono lithium project in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
According to the company, the Manono deposit as the potential to become a large-scale lithium mine with a long life of mine.
KoBold Metal’s interest in the Manono project aligns with U.S. efforts to secure critical minerals and reduce dependency on Chinese supply chains.
