The Arab Energy Fund, a leading multilateral financial institution in the MENA energy sector, has announced a strategic partnership with Stonepeak, the largest independent infrastructure firm globally and a top US infrastructure investor. This collaboration aims to invest in and develop energy infrastructure across the Middle East, focusing on businesses that support the region’s critical infrastructure needs.

Khalid Ali Al-Ruwaigh, CEO of The Arab Energy Fund, highlighted the partnership as a pivotal move to channel global capital into the Middle East’s dynamic energy landscape. The alliance with Stonepeak is expected to drive the development of resilient energy platforms, contributing to regional economic growth and energy security.

Maheur Mourali, Chief Investment Officer of The Arab Energy Fund, emphasised the collaboration’s alignment with their strategy to invest in high-quality energy assets alongside experienced global investors. Stonepeak’s expertise is seen as vital to delivering both impact and value through disciplined infrastructure investments.

Stonepeak CEO Mike Dorrell expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting the Middle East’s commitment to energy diversification, with countries like Saudi Arabia setting ambitious targets. Hajir Naghdy, Senior Managing Director at Stonepeak, added that the firm’s local presence and global energy expertise position it well to significantly contribute to the partnership’s success.
