Namibia's Otjikoto gold mine is forecast to produce a record 185,000-200,000 ounces of gold in 2025, generating over $310 million in revenue. While its open-pit operations are winding down, processing stockpiles will sustain production. In a strategic cost-saving move, the mine has launched a 10 MW solar plant, the first to use Namibia's power wheeling framework. This renewable energy project is key to the company's goal of reducing operational costs and cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030....
